Did you know that for any expenses made for your child with IP ( buying a wheelchair or any other equipment, specific equipment for the house, motor function therapist, occupational therapist, orthodontics, dental prosthesis) that are not refunded by the Social Security  or only  very partly you can contact a number of authorities that may refund some of those expenses? You can contact..

  • he  Social Security, department of extra-legal refunds ( the file can be obtained from your Social Security unit).
  • your private insurance: most private insurance companies have special funds to meet the specific needs of their handicapped members.
  • the local MDPH (the County House for Handicapped Persons).Contact them to assert your specific needs.
  • our association:IPF.

Besides, civil servants or State employees benefiting from the AEEH ( Allocation for the Education of a Handicapped Child) can get a special extra allocation of 142.05€ a month  even if they work part-time or have no tenure. It will be paid by your employer with your salary.

You can get a lot of help  to  make these steps. Don’t forget to contact your local social worker or any local association helping families. You will find the necessary information  at the ‘Centre Communal d’Action Sociale’
( the Town Centre for Social Action) : it’s a department of your town council.  Stand for your rights!
