Several research projects on IP have already led to significant results:

• 2000: Identification of the Nemo gene responsible for IP
  
• 2001: Elaboration of a  diagnosis test.
  
• 2004: elaboration of a prenatal diagnosis test.
  
• 2006: elaboration of a pre-implant test , that can detect the presence of the dese ase in the embryo, in vitro, before    
             it is implanted in the uterus.
